IP Trade was founded in 2005 by a group of 4 senior engineers with 40 years experience in the telecom, IT and banking industries.

Amid a global transition towards IP-based converged networks integrating data, voice and video, financial institutions were left with a missing link in the trading floor. Prior to IP Trade, no trading turrets were available in the market that didn’t require the use of a proprietary TDM voice switch. After recognising that ongoing deficiency in the trading floor offerings, IP Trade was formed to specifically address these trading communication requirements.

With their extensive experience of both IP Telephony and banking software applications, the founders decided to build the most reliable and most secure trading turrets, compatible with leading IP-PBX’s.

They rapidly found the funding for the project from a blend of financial institutions, venture capital firms and reputable private investors. IP Trade is a privately-held company.
